Lanvin maybe a luxurious fashion house but they know how to have fun when it comes to presentation. With redheaded Raquel Zimmermann and Karen Elson on board the brand shot a funny Fall/Winter 2011/2012 ad campaign. In the shots models seem like they’re dancing and well, they are. Their dancing moves make us smile and the fact they are wearing Lanvin luxurious dresses and jewelry makes it even better.

The two redheads dance to the song of Pitbull “I know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” while being shot by Steven Meisel in some luxurious apartment room. Lowell Tautchin and Milo Spijkers clad in 1930s style wide brim hats and velvet jackets also do the funny dance.

Lanvin Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collections of both menswear and womenswear include sharp stylish outerwear, dresses, suits, and other clothes items. Womenswear collection consists of cocktail dresses decorated with oversize brooches and voluminous details. The shapes are lush but fabrics are flowing. The voluminous shoulders and skirts contrast with sharp lines in clothes and footwear. The dark colors and faded prints go along bright pops of red, fuchsia, and yellow.

Menswear collection also features wide brim hats, shades of gray, loose-fitting trousers and velvet jackets, streamlined outerwear and suits. The black and gray prevail in the collection but the browns, yellow and deep red also appear in the menswear.

The ad campaign is chic and funny, the models demonstrate some of the outfits from both collections. Lanvin’s creative director Alber Elbaz has also appeared in the video advert wearing one of the menswear collection’s outfits dancing with the male models and sort of pushing them back.

If you are a fan of the TV show “Mad Men” or just in love with the 60′s Banana Republic has launched a limited edition “Mad Men”-inspired fashion line that consists of 60′s-style apparel for men and women. Banana Republic in collaboration with Emmy Award-winning costumer designer of the show Janie Bryant have created around 65 clothing and accessory items that look like they’ve just come out from the screen but there are certainly modern twists to the clothes.

Working with Janie to gain a true understanding of the Mad Men look and feel was a delight.

Janie was instrumental in helping us achieve the series aesthetic and standard of authenticity with this capsule collection, offering sketches, her own inspirations and actual artifacts from the production set to help inspire the Mad Men within all of us.

The collection is very extensive and includes knitwear, 60′s style men’s suits with sleek pocket squares, trench coats, high neck shift and full-skirt evening midi dresses, tie-neck blouses, and various accessories that include trendy Fedora hats, silk ties, handbags and footwear. The pieces come in a variety of colors but there are prints too, leopard heels and bags are available along with a subtle houndstooth pattern.

Despite the collection’s origins Janie Bryant notes that the clothes is not costume-y but a wearable modernized version of Mad Men’s on-screen fashion.

Collaborating with Simon and his team to design this collection was an experience I’ll never forget.

It’s so rewarding to help create a collection that will allow fans of the series to channel their own Mad Men style and take home fashionable items that are modern, not costume.

The upcoming season is almost here so we are to tell all about men fashion trends for Fall/Winter 2011/2012.The designers have much to offer so men’s fall fashion is very rich in terms of colors, styles, textures, and fabrics. Military trend goes on: Military style coats and jackets as well as accessories have been all over the runway and the trend is continuing since the last year. Alexander McQueen outerwear is heavily influenced by military fashion.

Chunky knit and Nordic sweaters: Chunky knit sweaters in bold colors as well as the sweaters with Nordic motifs are big this season. They are warm and yet bright and can be found at Missoni, Junya Watanabe, Versace, and Hermes. By the way, bright and neutral turtlenecks also trend this season.

Loose-tailored clothes: Some loose-tailoring is also a big trend for Fall/Winter 2011/2012. From loose-fitting overalls and trousers to oversize loose coats and jackets you get to enjoy some freedom of motion alongside some form-fitting suits.

Some minor trends include various prints as seen at Dolce & Gabbana and Etro fashion shows, hats that have been seen at many shows including that of Dior Homme, Lanvin, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Dsquared2. Creased cuffed trousers are also among Fall/Winter 2011/2012 trends as well as the external pockets and scarves winded round the neck. What can be more classic than a white shirt? It a classic of classics. Wear a white shirt with a contrasting black or blue tie but when the working day is over get rid of it, unbutton the collar and make it boldly stick out your biker leather jacket. Wear it with a bright cardigan or roll up the sleeves and slip into a pair of shorts for a casual night out. There are many ways of sporting a classic white shirt, just keep it crisp and clean at all times and tweak your outfits to make it look different each time. Collar pin

Collar:

• Point collar is worn with a small knot tie and its points look down. A spread collar is worn with necktie, the spread points leave more space in between.

• Button down collar has the buttons on its points that button up the collar to the shirt. Button collar is considered to be casual.

• Winged tip collar has its tips folded like wings, winged tip collar shirts are usually worn with tuxedos. If you have a long neck you can opt for a shirt with a tab collar, which is higher than other ones and has a smaller spread.

• Club collars have smaller rounded tips than the other collars. If you want to add a bit flare to your shirt accessorize collar with a pin that fastens the two points together.

French cuff

Cuffs:

• Button cuffs are considered casual. So if you are going for a formal look French and barrel cuffs are your choice. Don’t forget to have a pair of classic cufflinks to wear with French cuffs.

• Convertible cuffs can be worn either with cufflinks or buttons.

Sleeves:

• The sleeve length depends not only on the weather. Suits are always worn with long-sleeved shirts with cuffs peeking out of the jacket sleeves. The short-sleeved shirts are more casual and can be worn with jeans, jackets, and shorts.

Pockets:

• Shirts with pockets are considered casual. If you wear suspenders or vest with a shirt make sure it doesn’t have any pockets if you want a sleek and clean look.

Buttons:

• Buttons can be white or black in both formal and casual variants of the white shirt. Black buttons add a nice contrast to the crisp white shirt.

There are also such things to think about as fabric. If the occasion is formal then you might want to opt for a dressier fabric such as silk and if the shirt is for a casual wear then it’s more reasonable to go with cotton. Sasha Pivovarova looks furutistic in Giorgio Armani latest ad campaign for the Fall/Winter 2011 season. Her peroxide blonde hair is sleek and pulled back, brows bleached to the point of invisibility while her crimson lips added a splash of color to the look and nicely matched pinkish outfits from the Armani collection. The Russian model has posed alongside Brazilian model Diego Fragoso who showed off some really stylish suits and outerwear.

Sasha Pivovarova’s futuristic look contrasts with the calm elegance of Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2011 collection. It is sure full of trendy furs, animal prints and leather accessories. The classic colors of blue and gray are diluted with soft to intensive pinks and light browns.

Womenswear in the Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2011 collection includes pant suits, evening dresses and coats. Some suits feature double-breast jackets and fur detail and a high collar. The evening dresses feature fringe and open back. The coats are especially interesting. The pink quilted coat features a big collar and shoulder pads while another black short high-collar coat lined with pink fabric and decorate with a brooch that duplicates in a clutch.

Menswear includes stylish suits and coats in gray, black and monochrome color palette with bright pops of pink in shirts. The jackets are single-breasted, one features hidden buttons while the other’s button row is shifted to the right. The coats come double-breasted small lapels and below-the-knee length. Giorgio Armani Fall/Winter 2011 collection also includes accessories for both men and women from sunglasses to bags and jewelery. Women’s fashion is becoming more and more masculine. If last few seasons military jackets were top trendy, this season we see lots of classic and not-so-classic suits in designers’ collections. But suits for women are softer and more delicate.

This combination of androgyny with femininity looks nice and the photo shoot for Elle January 2010 edition with Brooklyn Decker is just another proof of my words.

The American fashion model is featured as a female dandy wearing a perfect Ralph Lauren cashmere three piece suit. She looks elegant and chic, though a bit too mannish.

The designers named the show “Heritage,” and filled it with Dolce&Gabbana’s signatures, laced with a piece of tango.

The only thing that was feminine in them was the combinaion of colors. Only women could wear something too bright and controversial at the same time.

Though it did look impressive and interesting. I’m sure some girs, those who like wearing men’s clothes, would love to adopt some items into their wardrobes.

The color was significant not only in suit sets but in every outfit presented in the line. Lots of unexpected and really vibrant tones were incorporated into pieces artfully.

There were a few monotone items as well and they looked great too.

Loads of stripes, plaids and other patterns even made the collection look cuter and more youthful.

What my eye caught were the accessories, to be precise it was beads elaborated into collars and necklaces. They were fantastic!

And the braids which will definitely be trendy in warm seasons and the lipstick that was all colors possible including green, blue, grey, orange, red and other tones.
