Kate Moss is finally going to have her family full. Her boyfriend of two years, Jamie Hince, proposed her on Saturday, which was her 36th birthday.

MillionLooks just cannot miss this news as Kate is one of the most popular models and our readers love her very much. We are very happy for her and hope her life will change to the better. Be happy, Kate!
Talking about career goals of the British supermodel we should remind you that Kate is very interested in designing. She already has a line together with Topshop, and now Longchamp reports that she is to launch a range of handbags for the accessory label.
The new venture is to prove Kate’s ability to create fashionable pieces.
A source said:
Kate is looking forward to the release of her work. She loves working with Topshop, but this high-fashion range will really prove her design credibility.”
This isn’t the first time the model has collaborated with the brand. She has previously modelled for Longchamp and in 2007 helped to “add the final design touches” to the brand’s Legend bag.

The decision of Selfridges, one of the biggest British retailers, to stop selling clothes for larger women seems to me very unreasonable. Taking into an account the fact ladies get bigger and taller year by year the store will be losing lots of its customers.
Selfridges have announced they no longer offer the Marina Rinaldi range, which includes sizes from 14 to 26. As a result, the largest size a woman can get now is 16, or 18 in some fashion lines, though those are scarce.

The retailer explains the decision stating that the ‘company does not believe larger lady customers, who often struggle to find clothes in their size, are good for its image’. This means that now plenty of women might be feeling hurt as they aren’t good for the image of Selfridges.
While Selfridges refuses to dress their larger customers other retailers seem to recognize modern people’s needs better. For example, in 2005 Topshop chiefs admitted the necesity to ‘inflate their sizes in order to cope with the fact that Britain’s young women are ‘blossoming’’. The same thing was done by Marks & Spencer.
The new policy of Selfridges immediately provoked huge discussions among ordinary people and fashion executives.
Cheryl Hughes, who runs plus size modelling agency Hughes Models, said:
Half the country need size 16 or bigger. It’s disgusting that Selfridges won’t sell them.’
What do you think about the news?

Kate Moss is not only fashion-conscious, she is fashion-crazy, jewelry-crazy I would say! It was reported yesterday that the supermodel had been so taken with a bracelet one of fellow guests at a recent wedding was wearing that she bought it off the woman immediately.

The accessory was the creation of jewellery designer Ann Dexter-Jones. It was the black onyx, black diamond, solid gold and silver bauble.
Kate wasn’t confident enogh to ask about the bracelet herself, she asked her friend and boss – billionaire retailer and head of Topshop Sir Philip Green – to purchase the piece she wanted so eagerly. So, Ann was offered a large sum of money for the accessory plus Kate was ready to give away her own Chanel bracelet.
Ann Dexter-Jones commented:
She was so crazy to wear it so Sir Philip Green insisted Kate have it immediately and bought it for her right off my wrist. And Kate gave me her Chanel bracelet as a gift, so that my wrist wasn’t bare.”
Ann’s line of now-famous jewelry will debut soon.

Kate Moss likes being actively involved in the designing process.
The supermodel, who has her own range with British high street store Topshop, is fascinated by the work behind the scenes as she wants to get a true insight into the fashion industry.

She said:
It’s fun for me. I still model, and I enjoy that, as well. Working on the creative process is really interesting for me because I do know what I like, so it’s fun for me to realise that it becomes part of you. It’s not just putting your name on something, it’s about being involved.”
Kate understands that to be successful in designing she needs to know all details of creative process.
She said:
I want to know what goes on behind-the-scenes, as well, and how to be successful at that part of the industry.”

Though I don’t like Kate Moss much this Christmas 2009 Collection for Topshop has lots of interesting pieces to offer. The photoshoot was done with unusual lightling making Kate look really curvy and hot.

The 35-year-old supermodel says the collection is inspired by traditional Japanese and Chinese styles and techniques. It displays prints of bamboo, flying stalks, lotus flowers, fireworks, etc.

Beside beautiful dresses you see, the line includes a series of shrugs and sequinned knit waistcoats to keep you warm in the cold winter evenings.

To add to these, the model created a few lingerie items for the range: triangular-shaped bras as well as floral printed silk pyjamas. And it was planned to include nightwear into the line too.
I love beautiful nightwear, it makes you feel great,” Kate said. “Over the years, I’ve collected millions of vintage slips, nighties, camis and bed jackets.”

Oxford Street in London is known as the world’s most famous shopping street. And soon it is going to be famous for one more thing – the first high street fashion week will be held there.
Leading retailers including Debenhams, Uniqlo, John Lewis and Topman have already signed on for the event and talks are in progress with other major household names such as Selfridges, Topshop, Marks & Spencer and Miss Selfridge.

The event is planned to start on Monday, September 7th. But before that there is a lot to do.
In August, Oxford Street shoppers will be asked to vote for the celebrity they like best to choose a “High Street Queen”. The winner will play an important part in the fashion week.
Among other events we can name workshops, fashion shows, makeovers, late-night shopping and in-store promotions.

Christopher Kane has been creating a great collection for Topshop Fall 2009.

Why I say great? Because everything is so secret about it that it just cannot be bad, Topshop can’t disappoint us!
We don’t know much about the line actually. But some things have been revealed.
The collection is going to be the biggest ever for Topshop. It includes 39 pieces (with shoes and bags) and is to be launched this September. The prices will range from around $80 to $300.
This is more than a capsule collection. It’s proper: with bags, shoes, knitwear and dresses. It’s nothing like any other work I’ve done in the past. Everything is a bit “wow”. But If I tell you any more, I’ll be giving the theme away,” Christopher said.
Can’t wait to see what it’s like!

Lead singer of Florence And The Machine has teamed up with Topshop to hit stage outfits for the Glasto appearance.
Florence Welch is supposed to support the legendary Blur in Manchester this Friday and then play Glastonbury on Saturday dressed ever-so glamorously in her own bespoke outfits, designed and made especially for her courtesy of Topshop.

An ideal glam image for the star – a black bespoke tailored bodice will provide the center piece for each outfit, worn with three different intricate capes, fringing and delicate accents – finished with gravity defying cage style shoes in black python.
Topshop always does some we admire! Let’s admire it this time as well.

And the next step of business of Kate Moss is launching the scent named Kate.
The soft, daytime fragrance, created with Coty, blends lily of the valley, magnolia and roses.

Kate Moss said she wanted the perfume to have “a vintage English feel”, and be a symbol of both her “good” and “bad” parts.
I tried to encompass everything that I feel about being feminine and a bit rock ‘n roll, a bit edgy and a bit light, a bit dark,” she said.
I love anything old… except old men!” Err, thanks for clarifying that for us Kate!
The perfume comes packaged in a vintage-inspired flacon, with the motif being a black rose.

The ad campaign of the new smell was shot by Craig McDean and shows naked Moss playing with a flower in a field, highlighting the idea of both dark and light beauty.
In spite of having just presented her ninth range for Topshop, it appears her new seniority for September is a new perfume, inspired by her vintage outfits and accessories.
