Every glam event is a chance to show off oneself and often our stars use this rare opportunity to attract attention. The Oscar ceremony is one of the most expected, not only because we all want to know which films are considered the best but also to see what most glamorous women wear to it.
It is a common fact that to stand out at the Oscars is always a very difficult thing. But some women know very well how to do it. And one of these is definitely Jennifer Lopez. The singer appeared on the red carpet wearing a sumptuous strapless gown by Armani Prive.

By the way, Armani creations were extremely popular. Amanda Seyfried also wore a dress by this designer and looked absolutely gorgeous.

Vera Farmiga chose a more colorful dress from Marchesa, a real red-carpet label. The actress looked perfect.

Anna Kendrick was the embodiment of youth and chic as she wore a gorgeous Elie Saab gown to the event.

Sandra Bullock, who was named the Best Actress, sported a fabulous Marchesa frock. She opted for a silver clutch to match her outfit.

Lily Donaldson is one of the most beautiful models in the fashion industry. And she is very popular with people. That explains why Americana Manhasset, a shopping center in Long Island, have chosen her to pose for their Spring/Summer 2010 campaign.

The supermodel is featured in fabulous outfits from best world designers and brands like Prada, Ralph Lauren, Max Mara, St.John, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Giorgio Armani, Escada and others. All outfits are classy and elegant, there is nothing about rock chic or ordinary clothes for everyday wear at these pictures.

Versace collection for Fall 2010 unveiled during Milan Fashion Week looks nice and elegant as everything from Versace. It inludes lots of signature Versace short-and-tight dresses as well as long gowns with high splits. But it does have lots of innovative pieces that add glamour to the line.

Donatella Versace obviously took a new route and abandoned the pastel-colored goddess drapery that she used in her Spring 2010 range. Maybe it’s due to the modern tendency to minimalism, pragmatic daywear, and longer lengths, that the designer changed her habitual way of creating things.

There is more about tailoring this time. Combining various fabrics and diverse colors Donatella was able to make beautiful and sophisticated ensembles. Separate geometric pieces of material were zippered together, half-short, half-long skirt were put into same sets and in the result we have pretty garments that are perfect for young people to wear.

I love Versace, so my opinion is very subjective but I like the new Spring-Summer 2010 Ad Campaign very much.

The pictures look wonderful and they feature gorgeous Georgia Jagger, daughter of model Jerry Hall and rocker Mick Jagger.

The young beauty wears fantastic Versace clothing: a feminine pink super-short dress, yellow printed frock and nice clonging suit.

The accessories shown in the ad are chic. I just love the shoes and the bags look sumptuous too.

Avatar premiere was an interesting event to attend, not only because the film was worth seeing but also because there were women worth admiring.
Leona Lewis, whose song I See You was used in the movie, looked absolutely perfect and outshined everyone else present on the blue (not red!!!) carpet. The singer wore a floor-sweeping strapless silver dress embellished with millions of sparkling stones. A pair of matching peep-toe heels completed the look.

Zoe Saldana, one of the main characters in Avatar, turned heads too. She appeared at the premiere donning a white Versace mini-dress with silver and gold panels and gold shoes.

Michelle Rodriues looked beautiful in a purple strapless gown with frills on the hemline.

However, it never happens that everyone looks great. This time it was Audrina Patridge who spoilt the scene.

Glam events are important for us to see what celebrities like about fashion. While desigers offer a great variety of styles and trends, celebs show exactlly what looks good.
Now let’s speak about fashion and style of AMA 2009 attendees. By the way, the event was held at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre yesterday (November 22).

My top pick is of course Rihanna in a strapless Marchesa gown with sexy floral cut-outs. The dress is truly special. It comes in an unusual shape and is black outside while being white on the inside. Fabulous white shoes and simple jewelry completed the attire.
What also deserves your attention here is Rihanna’s makeup. I think it’s crazy, not inspiring as the star might have hoped.

I love Versace and that’s why Shakira and her bright yellow strapless mini is the second on my list. Gorgeous figure plus absolutely marvellous frock and accessories make the 32-year-old beauty one of the best-looking on the red carpet.

Alicia Keys is the third with a hot blue dress embellished with gemstones.
She opted for beautiful blue shoes of the same hue, a tiny clutch and a set of sparkling jewelry to match the apparel.

Vivienne Westwood’s fan, Leona Lewis, comes next.
The dress she wore to the event was very like in style of the designer – royal luxury mixed with eccentric form in addition to simplicity of the idea. Robert Anthony ring fought for the attention of its own.

Giorgio Armani has been nominated for a position of an Italian “senator for life”.
It was Santo Versace, the chairman of the Versace empire, who offered the new role to the fashion designer despite all the talks about the rivalry between the two Italian houses. Santo said it was an absolutely deserved honor.

He explained:
There is nobody that deserves it more or who better represents our country. He has earnestness, creativity and excellence. Armani embodies the beauty of Italy, the country the way we would like to see it represented around the world, and where meritocracy is fully applied.”
Donatella Versace, the creative director of the fashion house, is behind the nomination.
She said it was a brilliant idea, fantastic and that I should do everything I can to promote it,” Santo said.
Giorgio Armani hasn’t commented on his nomination yet. But if he chooses politics there is no way he could keep on working in fashion. So, we might soon lose one of the most talented designers.
At any one time in Italy there can be no more than five “senators for life”, alongside the 315 elected senators.

Milan Fashion Week wouldn’t be complete without the show of this particular designer – Donatella Versace, a person of unusual vision of things and skills to embody that into her creations.

The Spring/Summer collection 2010 was inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland (which comes out next March).
I loved the idea of that fantasyland,” said Donatella.

Although usually the designer works to make pieces good for grown-ups, this time she decided to create for those who look younger, that has been a trend with designers for some time. It’s just that Donatella shows her own opinion of how young people should look like. These are not only too short skirts and sheer materials which are often visible in other designers’ collections but something else, more significant.

Versace was able to make pieces interesting for modern youngsters – stylish, innovative but still very classy and feminine. Vivid pastels, geometric prints, baroque curlicues, super-short skirts, diverse materials and elaborate combinations of fabrics make the colelction look fresh and sumptuous.
