Every girl dreams about her big day and envisions herself wearing a perfect gown that outshines every other female’s outfit at the event. But if you are a plus-size there might be some problem on finding what flatters you. Nowadays there are lots of designers who are ready to help you and offer a gown you have always seen in your happy dreams.

You might want to shed a few pounds before the wedding and it is a good decision but don’t let yourself starve as this can spoil your mood and make you too nervous. What is much better is to look through lots of catalogues and online stores that offer dresses to every taste, finances and shapes. A plus-size bride can and should look fabulous at the altar.
Now let’s talk about what the dress can be like to make the most of your curves.

First of all, forget about hugely puffy wedding dresses which were fashionable in the 70-80s. They look cute but not on big girls. You may think it is the best for you as it can cover all those bulges you’d like to hide. But while your full arms are hidden under balloon sleeves and heavy bottom covered by a voluminous skirt you, as a whole, will look even bigger than you are. Is that really what you want? Of course not. So, stay away from cute princess-like puffy dresses with lots of lace, layers and balloon sleeves; unfortunately they aren’t for you.
Besides, steer cleer of mermaid and sheath dresses, those which accentuate attention on hips much.

Plus-size girls look good in dresses that have a trapeze silhuette, without too much volume and details. Fabric should cling to the body but not pull in too tight. Avoid shining materials. They create the illusion of a bigger form.

Red-carpet-event label Marchesa presented a gorgeous collection of evening dresses for Spring-Summer 2010.

The line is perfect as always. Even hard-to-please women can find a piece or two they will like a lot.

Talking about colors the designers chose for the collection we can say the focus is obviously on pastels and black-and-white combination. Spring is a delicate season and probably this was the reason for selecting reserved tones: pink, beige, peach, pretty light greens and violets together with vibrant purples.

Special attention should be given to black-and-white dresses which look classy and sophisticated.

Brides are the happiest women in the world but they can drive crazy almost any shop assistant selling wedding dresses. The girls are very particular, often have no idea of what they want to wear at their big day.
But there is at least one fashion brand that seems to have everything a woman can ever dream of – Elie Saab.

For Haute Couture Fall 2009 Elie Saab sent over 40 brides down the catwalk wearing sophisticated and glamorous wedding dresses. All of them were different but still wonderful.
Some came snowy white, others were in ivory tone; some were floor-sweeping, others were super short – the variety created the opportunity for every bride to find the very best dress for herself, to feel like a princess.

There were brides in goddess gowns with trailing trains, in flirty, ivory bodice dresses and in creamy tweed skirt suits, all dripping with sequins, beads and crystals that sparkled like freshly fallen snow. Besides, there were unusual trouser suits with jackets that had huge puffy sleeves.

Reese Witherspoon is in hurry to get married again. She is rumored to have chosen a wedding dress she wants to wear on her big day.
But what’s interesting is that the couple hasn’t been engaged yet.

Reese’s boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal likes her children a lot and is ready to take responsibility of them. He gets on well with the kids.
So, probably Reese knows what she’s doing!
Reese has picked out the gown she’s going to wear when she and Jake finally get married,” the insider revealed. “It’s an unconventional colour just like Gwen Stefani’s, and her daughter, Ava, will wear an identical dress.”
Let me remind you that Gwen Stefanie’s wedding gown was a dreamy pink John Galliano number that made feel envious even the most seasoned fashionistas.
Reese was married before and divorced in 2007. Her ex-husband is actor Ryan Phillippe, they have two children: daughter, Ava, who is 9 and son, Deacon, 5 years old.
Well, whenever Reese and Jake get married, she will definitely be a very beautiful bride while daughter Ava will make a cute ‘mini-mommy’ flower girl.

Clair Danes has announced that her wedding dress would be designed by her close friend and an outstanding designer, Narciso Rodriguez. The two have been friends for a long time already.

The actress appeared at the CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday night at Alice Tully Hall in New York on the arm of Rodriguez, saying that as a date, she finds him “very cheeky and playful and funny, kind and dear . . . one of my dear friends. Any excuse to hang out with him is welcome,” she said.
Rodriguez agreed to make a wedding gown for Clair and she feels really happy and excited about it.
He’s making it. I get weepy. .. more emotional than I was expecting,” she confessed. “It’s intimate.”
When asked whether it is easy working with a friend Danes replied:
It’s amazing. I’m so privileged. I’m collaborating a little bit, but I’m just trusting him implicitly. I’m offing my ideas, but they always pale in comparison to his.”
All we know about the dress itself is that it is going to be white.
Narciso said Clair is easy to design for:
She’s an extraordinary woman inside and out. That always comes through. You can’t hide it. I just try to make her look more beautiful,” he said. “And it’s not hard to make her look beautiful.”
Narciso Rodriguez has lots of experience dressing beautiful women. He designed Caroline Bessette Kennedy’s dress for her 1996 wedding to John F. Kennedy Jr., Michelle Obama’s attire as she made her first appearance as the wife of President-Elect Barack Obama. His other clients are: Sarah Jessica Parker, Salma Hayek, and Rachel Weisz.

Every woman dreams about a wedding. It is one of those days when the whole world seems to go round the bride. And on this big day the bride must feel herself a real queen. So, the questions arise: How to choose a wedding dress if they are all so fabulous?

What criteria should one use when selecting a wedding gown so that it flatters the figure and conceals the imperfections the bride may have? This is what we are going to speak about now.
Choosing the fabric and the color
Color is of utmost importance when we opt for a wedding dress. Those times when snowy white hue was the only possible choice for the bride have already passed.

Of course white will always be in fashion, besides, young brides look so much innocent wearing white. But there are other options as well now. For instance, all beige tones look great including ivory, champagne color, white coffee, condensed milk, tender peach, etc.
Besides, a wedding dress can be of tender gold, bright red, sky blue colors.
