Wedding dress is something we, girls, dream about since an early age. And when the right time comes nobody can ruin the drama of searching, trying on and fitting the important attire. So, it looks really ridiculous when a designer offers wearing lingerie as the outwear piece on your big day. Kaviar Gauche, Berlin-based brand, unveiled a wedding dress collection yesterday sending one of their models down the runway in something that I wouldn’t even call underwear. It is what DailyMail named as a set of ‘diminutive sections of fabric joined together with a central strip’.

The outfit looked more than weird. Who would want to wear it during the wedding ceremony? I would probably understand if it were suggested for the privacy of a wedding night. No… actually I wouldn’t. And I am far from being a sanctimonious person.

The two designers behind the dress, Alexandra Fischer-Röhler and Johanna Kühl, are known for extravagant shows they have organized since founding label Kaviar Gauche in 2003. To demonstrate their handbag collection for 2009/2010 fashion season the design duo asked models to walk down the catwalk nearly nude, with only accessories strategically placed to cover their modesty.

For a few centuries in a row girls have worn white wedding dresses on their big days. And while designs of dresses changed throughout the period the color stayed the same. It’s probably only ivory that is more or less close in popularity to white when it comes to bridal gowns. However, there is a designer, one of the best in the industry, who believes a wedding dress can be black… It’s Vera Wang.

Vera Wang has experimented with colors before. She’s tried green, blue and even purple. But for Spring 2012 season she went to the extreme – she sent 9 of her models down the runway in black pieces.

Of course Vera Wang’s black wedding dresses were as chic and fabulous as dresses of other colors but they still were black, which was odd and crazy in the sense that black color is a symbol of mourn in many cultures.

The designer explains her decision:

I found black to be fresh and tongue in cheek. With all the big weddings that happened this year, it was fun to step out of the box. I did take it to a witchy kind of place. For me, it helped build a sense of mystery that I was hungry for. And it added this sensuality and sexuality, and a little bit of severity, too.”

Maybe the idea is interesting but I wouldn’t want to wear black on my wedding. Would you?

Two of Kim Kardashian’s wedding dresses to be sold at David’s Bridal. The reality star who has married Kris Humphries in August has worn three dresses to her wedding, all created by fashion designer Vera Wang. It was only a matter of time really that the dresses would be replicated for sale. Vera Wang is collaborating with David’s Bridal to make similar dresses at relatively affordable prices. Kim Kardashian’s Vera Wang strapless and mermaid wedding dresses will be sold at David’s Bridal around $1,600.

Although they won’t be exact copies of Kim Kardashian’s wedding dresses they “will certainly capture that sense of old-fashioned romance” seen in the original garments.

The onlookers have also discussed the color of bridesmaids’ dresses. Is white being the latest trend? From Pippa Middleton to Kardashian sisters white seems to be trending. Khloe and Kourtney were pictured with their sister wearing white bridesmaid gowns also by Vera Wang. What do you think about it?

Meanwhile Kardashians are promoting their kollection with a photoshoot by Annie Leibovitz sporting from knickers to dresses and jumpsuits printed with leopard. The collection was launched in August with department store chain Sears and includes everyday casual pieces as well as cocktail dresses, handbags, footwear, and accessories. The Kardashian endeavors into the world of beauty and fashion is going strong as Kim is to launch yet another perfume called Gold. And another Kardashian Khaos boutique will open in Las Vegas this year.

At the wedding ceremony Anya Rubik wore a fabulous Pucci dress that was short in front (what wonderful legs she has!!!) and long in the back, with a train. She looked fantastic, like every bride does on her day.

White by Vera Wang Bridal collection for Fall 2011 also features a number of lovely evening dresses, for $ 158 – $ 198. All the dresses come in subdued but totally chic colors. And designs are very womanly with frills, rosettes, bows and brooches decorating the dresses.

I would never call Kate Moss cute in any other situation but being a bride she looks just like that – very cute. We have no full picture of her wedding dress yet but from the photo of her sitting in a car we can clearly see the gown is covered with rhinestones. There is also a glimpse of the vintage veil that is delicately embroidered. Natural makeup and perfectly styled hair complete the look. Oh no! It’s the happy smile that complete Kate’s wedding look.)))

Update: Here are the photographs of the wedding dress itself. It was designed by John Galliano. And I think it was Kate’s friendly gesture to the designer who is currently under disgrace.

Kate Moss, who is to marry her long-time boyfriend Hince tomorrow, has tried walking down the aisle already. But it was just the rehearsal. However, Kate looked glorious doing that.

She and her groom posed for cameras outside the church smiling later, when the rehearsal was over. And while Kate was more than eager to do that Hince felt a bit awkward but really couldn’t refuse the pleasure to his future wife.

Kate looked very feminine (which was surprising considering her usual style) wearing a hippy-style turquoise dress and a pair of totally amazing boots in the same color. The only thing made me a little disappointed. Kate wasn’t wearing any makeup and her hair was messy. Why not try harder, Kate?

By the way, there is almost no doubt that it is John Galliano who designed Kate Moss’ wedding dress.

No details of Kate Moss’ wedding dress have been revealed so far. But we are sure the design will be a lot like Kate herself – bold and unexpected.

John Galliano’s future is still not clear, unfortunately. His trial yesterday didn’t finish in any verdict. The designer will have to wait to September 8 this year for the last court’s decision. If convicted, Galliano will face up to a six-month jail term and a fine of 22,500 euros ($32,410).

If all these rumors about John Galliano making the wedding dress for Kate Moss turn out true I really hope this will be a new start for him in the fashion industry. He is the genius we can’t lose. And I believe he regrets saying all those bad things. Let’s give him another chance, people!!! He didn’t kill anyone!

To tell you the truth I’ve been following Lily Allen’ story with a sinking heart. The girl had money, her own growing business and popularity but she didn’t have the most important thing for a woman – a baby. Those two devastating miscarriages made her really unhappy but she manned herself and believed in the better future. Finally she has it all – a loving husband, who she married at St James the Great Church in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Cranham yesterday, and a baby she’s now expecting.

At her wedding day Lily Allen looked lovely. Her vintage lace dress flattered the singer’s changing body perfectly (By the way, it was Karl Lagerfeld who designed it!!!). The veil wasn’t as beautiful but it was Lily’s day and no one could judge her choice.

The wedding ceremony wasn’t too chic. Lily and her now-husband Sam Cooper invited 105 people – family and close friends, who they wanted to share their happiness with. During the celebration Sam announced his wife was at least 12 weeks pregnant.

I hope this time Lily has her baby and lives happily with her new family ever after. Good luck, girl!

The wedding gown was beyond fantastic, but I liked her another dress, too, very much actually. For the grand evening Catherine wore a white satin gazar and strapless gown, with silver diamante embroidery at the waist and a circle skirt. She teamed it up with a cropped angora sweater.
