Salma Hayek has appeared on Allure September 2011 issue cover looking gorgeous on the shots by Mario Testino. Hayek has donned a cashmere top by Stella McCartney and Yves Saint Laurent skirt and cardigan for the shoot. The stylists wanted to give their cover lady a Brigitte Bardot kind of look making a few waves to the hair and putting accent on the eyes. Salma Hayek looks great on the cover though I do like a close-up shot of her (below) more.

In the interview with Allure Hayek talked beauty, her roles and privileged life:

On beauty and aging: “I believe that every woman is entitled to fight to preserve her youth. But not by becoming overly surgified by celebrity dermatologists. It’s like the uniform of a generation. And it’s not necessarily beautiful. It’s not wrinkled-looking, but it’s not beautiful.”

On her nude scene in Desperado: “I’m not an exhibitionist. It was the first time, so it was very difficult.”

Salma Hayek also told Allure that she has been teased when she was young living in Mexico “because I was too short, or I was too brown”. “You would think in Mexico that would be something normal, but I did get teased,” said actress.

On her beauty line Nuance launched at CVS in summer: “I’m [creating this line] with the philosophy that within you there is beauty, and you have to learn how to find it and enhance it in a natural way…. One thing that is exciting about being a woman is that you can rediscover your beauty over and over and over.”

Monaco royal Charlotte Casiraghi graces the cover of Vogue France, September 2011 issue and she is looking gorgeous. Shot by legendary photographer Mario Testino Casiraghi stares suspiciously into the camera with her eyes in dark smoky makeup and with her brown hair tousled. A close-up is extremely beautiful and appealing while the spread features Charlotte Casiraghi wearing a Balmain mirror-encrusted dress also sported by Lea Michele in American Vogue, and outfits by such designers as Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Gucci, Isabel Marant and others.

Interesting facts about Charlotte Casiraghi – she is a granddaughter of Grace Kelly, she edits Ever Manifesto, her own eco fashion magazine, she is often featured in best-dressed lists and is known for her distinctive style. Charlotte Casiraghi is well known for her equestrian career so Gucci made her an official equestrian ambassador and the brand’s Frida Giannini creates her exclusive equestrian outfits. She will be wearing them during 2011 Global Champions Tour.

Whatever happened to Lady Gaga? The singer who has made a name on outlandish, extraordinary and simply wacky outfits now continues to show off her more sophisticated side as she wears strangely normal ‘human’ clothes. Of course, crazy dos and specs and shoes didn’t go away completely but I bet it’s good to feel comfy in normal clothes for a change. Maybe the singer wants to feel sophisticated and glamed up for a change but her latest looks surprise public no less than her crazy stage and everyday costumes. Give it up to five sophisticated looks of Lady Gaga.

Green Leather

Thus leather coat by Valentino is quite elegant yet with a twist it’s green. Gaga went for same colored Christian Louboutin pumps and green wig to complete the look. Although I don’t know what’s under that coat, the outfit looks great and quite classy.

Classic Black

Not long ago Lady Gaga has been spotted in a black outfit by Yves Saint Laurent that consisted of a front lace top and a perforated skirt. Singer also went for black Christian Louboutin pumps and a black headpiece. She also wore a monochrome wig and dangerous red nails.

60′s Glam

One of the favorite sophisticated looks on Gaga recently is Yves Saint Laurent’s 60′s inspired wide leg pants and bow blouse completed with trendy chunky chain necklace and unusual specs. Gaga looks chic and sophisticated in this trendy summery outfit. Note how high-waist full-length pants elongate her figure.

Houndstooth Print All Over The Place

Okay this outfit of Lady Gaga has been described as “outrageous” and “over the top”. But I think it’s still more sophisticated than her other looks. As opposed to other celebrities Gaga chose to wear a classy Salvatore Ferragamo dress from Fall 2011 collection with matching hoondstooth clutch, sunglasses, shoes, and hat.

Eye Catchy Cocktail Dress

The fifth sophisticated look by Lady Gaga would be a Versace cocktail dress with a bright yellow and purple floral ornament in the front. The singer let her hair down sporting a long blond head of hair. Again the look was completed with Christian Louboutin Daffodil suede black pumps. The only Gaga-thing that stayed were dangerously sharp red nails.

Dressed in outfits from everyone from Giorgio Armani, Gucci and Prada to Louis Vuitton, D&G and Yves Saint Laurent Coco Rocha looks energetic and uber-stylish. Wearing an outfit from Chloe the Canadian model looks very comfortable. In Alexander McQueen she is a romantic beauty. Playing dozens roles for Elle Magazine August 2011 edition Coco Rocha still preserves a lot form herself. She is still that funny, cheerful and very artistic girl.

Emma Watson (Check out Emma Watson’s full bio and photos), who lands two covers of Harper’s Bazaar August 2011 edition, has given a candid interview about her acting, studying in Brown University and cruelty of fashion.

Emma Watson on rumors about her bullied at school: “Leaving Brown had nothing to do with bullying, as the media have been suggesting recently. I have never been bullied in my life. Like a lot of other students at Brown, I might spend my third year abroad.”

Emma Watson on being a part of Hollywood: “I feel if I have to work out four hours a day, and count the calories of everything I put in my mouth, and have Botox at 22, and obsess about how I look the whole time, I will go mad, I will absolutely lose it.”

Emma Watson on why she preferred to study in America rather than in the UK: “I felt suddenly very claustrophobic…I thought, ‘I can’t stay here [UK], I won’t be able to concentrate, I won’t be left alone.’”

Emma Watson on the fashion world: “It can be savage and cruel, in that it’s prescriptive – you have to look a certain way and fit a certain mould – but also in the way it’s made. When I went to Bangladesh, to a factory where the clothes are made [for mass market labels], it was horrifying. There is a cost to cheap clothes – if people could see the inhumane way they’re made, they would never in a million years buy them…”

Emma Watson on trying to be the good girl growing up: “There has never been room in my life for that [rebellion] – I couldn’t imagine giving my family any more trouble, it’s already been complicated enough. My dad is one of the top international-communications lawyers in the country, and trying to argue with him was a nightmare, so I learnt quite quickly to be good with words. My mum is an incredible woman. She moved back from Paris with my brother and me after the divorce, and worked full-time, supporting both of us. But I felt I wanted to take care of her – I didn’t want to give her a hard time.”

Emma Watson on hiding her genuine emotions: “When I was growing up, my family, particularly my father, were very stoic. I learnt that young, very young. Part of me is very resentful of this British mentality that it’s not good to express feelings of any kind – that it’s not proper or brave. But I also appreciate it. There’s another book that I read when I was very young – ‘The Constant Princess’ by Philippa Gregory, about Catherine of Aragon – and I know it sounds silly, but I thought, “I’ve got to be just like her”. She was the first wife of Henry VIII and she survived, having been cruelly divorced. I remember being really inspired by that.”

Emma Watson on playing bad girls: “My acting tutor said the hardest thing for me was to get angry. I almost broke down in tears when they tried to get me to be angry. I said, ‘I can’t do it, I just can’t do it.’ I keep all of that really bottled up somewhere and I feel unleashing it would be the scariest thing – and to let myself be powerful, sexy, all those things, it’s scary for me. [Even playing the bad girl in this shoot] felt a bit uncomfortable and awkward, it didn’t come naturally at all”

We might have never raised this question unless Yves Saint Laurent brand has used red soles for his shoes in one of the recent collections. He did, and Christian Louboutin sued the company for $1million shortly after that claiming he had an exclusive right to use red color for shoe soles. Yves Saint Laurent hit back at Louboutin saying he used the color long before the shoemaker registered his trademark. Moreover, the representative of YSL is sure the design has existed for centuries.

He said:

Red outsoles are a commonly used ornamental design feature in footwear, dating as far back as the red shoes worn by King Louis XIV in the 1600s and the ruby red shoes that carried Dorothy home in The Wizard of Oz.”

He continued:

As an industry leader who has devoted his entire professional life to women’s footwear, Mr Louboutin either knew or should have known about some or all of the dozens of footwear models that rendered his sworn statement false.”

Christian Louboutin has also taken legal action against the French operation of Brazilian label Carmen Steffens for alleged trademark infringement. However, Carmen Steffens France explained that it had been using red soles for its shoes since 1996 which could be proved by numerous catalogues.

Carmen Steffens France added:

The tones are not the same, and, as catalogues dating from 1996 can prove, Carmen Steffens shoes contain soles of all colors, including red.”

No one knows now who will win the case but I think it’s kind of silly requiring that nobody used a certain color because it is a signature feature of your brand. Color cannot be a trademark, it’s not a design which one has created. It’s universal and can be used by everyone. I love Louboutins but Christian Louboutin has to be wiser.

Photographed by two famed photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin the beauty looks impressive wearing two different styles of eyewear: classic dark frame and sunglasses with high opacity factor. I love both, what about you?

Walking to the accompaniment of Vivaldi models, including Alessandra Ambrosio, Freja Beha Erichssen, Jourdan Dunn and Jamie Bochert, were wearing colorful outfits, golden platform shoes, elaborate belts in shape of flowers, vibrant bags and cute headpieces also in the form of flowers. Flowers were everywhere in Marc Jacobs’s collection: from prints on outfits to jewelry.

Apparently inspired by the 70s and creations of Antonio Lopez, Yves Saint Laurent, Missoni and Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs’ Spring/ Summer 2011 range looked interesting. However, some garments seemed to me too overwhelming. Frizzy hair and dramatic makeup complemented the garments perfectly.

The Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2011 collection is very specific and sticks to traditional YSL style. Pieces are all classic and versatile but they do have a contemporary twist.

Prints are mostly moderate and look pretty. However, there are a few huge ones stretching all over the garment. These feature a model wearing an iconic YSL dress.

What seems to be a bit weird in Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2011 range is bandeau tops. Although they are ideally related with other parts of outfits they don’t look as truly YSL’s.

The new venture of Scarlett has been a shoot and interview for V magazine. She looks gorgeous on the cover of Summer Scorcher issue wearing Yves Saint Laurent white top with strawberries, hoop earrings by Louis Vuitton, a pearl ring and black and white diamond camellia cuff by Chanel. Her face is perfect and full lips stir up envy.

Spealking about her character as Black Widow in the Iron Man 2 movie the actress says:

This is a no-b—s— character. It’s not that she’s non-feeling, she just gets the job done. She’s part of something bigger, and she knows it. She’s this crazy badass, and she has no time for f—— around.”

This movie must have given Scarlett the chance to show she is no longer a little girl and that she is a serious actress.

She comments:

I’m 25, and for some time I’ve played these characters who are kind of figuring it out, transforming from young girls to young women… I don’t feel like a girl anymore. And I feel like my life and career are on a different path than they had been. There’s a lot of road behind me. I feel at this point I really want to do work that is challenging to me. Not to say that I don’t look at my job and realize that I’m ridiculously fortunate, and purely an actor for hire. You never forget that it’s all so vulnerable.”
