On the red carpet she prefered to wear scary Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Fall 2008 blue dress with pair of yellow pumps. The scary was the eye detail that decorated popping out of her chest.

She took Leiber Strawberry Cupcake clutch which cost $4,295.

Celebrity sense of style cast doubt. Most of the dresses celebrities wore on teh ceremony were terrible!

The singer Beyonce Knowles arrived at the EMA red carpet dressed in a Gareth Pugh Spring 2009 black dress, with gold Giuseppe Zanotti heels awith gold metal gloves.

When she sang her single If I Were A Boy she put on another Gareth Pugh strange suit. This time from the Fall 2008 collection, the gown with structured shoulders and a peplum at the waist.

Leona Lewis was super glam. I can give my vote for her dress as the best dress of all EMA gowns.

Bleeding Love singer  wore a affected pink strapless Marchesa gown with a ruffled top and jeweled embroidered waist.

American songtress Anastacia , 40,  is back dressing a backless bright golden gown and showing off her two tattoo’s on her back. I like her style!

Sugababes were dressed in mini dresses.

Keisha Buchanan and Heidi Range wore the now sold out Preen Power bandage dress.

Amelle Berrabah (on the right) mixed her bright blue dress with a pair of pink lace up boots, which fit her thin pink belt.

Heidi (in the middle) posed for photographers wearing a white one-shoulder dress with ruffles black tights, and electric blue high heel shoes.

And Keisha prefered to put on an orange strapless dress with a double skirt, with peep toe lace up boots.

Solange Knowles came to the EMA 2008 in a black strapless dress from the Emporio Armani Fall 2008 collection.

Kerry Katona is a look of health in a little black dress and a stylish belt. Alex Curran wears a black and ivory playsuit with YSL platform boots. Model Daisy Lowe went for a black leather dress with an original belt.

Estelle took Jimmy Choo snake patchwork sandals, and Bernard Chandran Spring 2009 white strapless dress. She sang American Boy wearing this strange form electric blue strapless Bernard Chandran Spring 2009 dress, with a decorated triangle shaped skirt.

I’m not dressed unless I have earrings on, like big hoops. I’ve always worn big earrings. Off the red carpet, I don’t really feel comfortable with many rings and bracelets on. I love earrings though.”

I am obsessed with vintage Chanel jewelry. I once bought all the Chanel pieces that were on display at an antiques store in New York.

Alexander McQueen and Jean Paul Gaultier are two designers I love right now. Their clothes are feminine, sexy and modern. I just went to the Giuseppe Zanotti showroom, and he had the most spectacular shoes. It was like being in a candy store—I was obsessed with every shoe! Right now, I love anything with a high platform.”

Charlize Theron is always beautiful and feminine. I love her couture looks and dramatic silhouette. Halle Berry is elegant and sophisticated. I love that in the seventies Cher and Diana Ross looked like superstars and never played it safe. When they were onstage, they gave you drama—and I love drama.”

Growing up, I was a tomboy. I refused to carry a purse and wouldn’t wear a dress. That was the eighties and it was all about the hip-hop influence—baggy jeans and big shirts. [Her mother, Tina Knowles] hated it! But then I started singing and ended up watching all of the footage of the Supremes and Tina Turner. And I thought to myself, ‘They’re so beautiful. I want to be like them.’”

Off-Camera Style:

I’m a lot more conservative in my personal life. But even when I’m dressed down, I wear a nice shirt, nice jeans and stilettos. Even when I go on vacation, where no one’s going to see me, I enjoy picking out new clothes, bathing suits and accessories. I do it for myself because I enjoy fashion. It makes me feel like me.”

I was going to do the shorter hair [for her new album] that I had when I performed with Tina Turner at the Grammys earlier this year, which I loved. But I’ve decided to wear my hair straight instead. I’ve had so many different hairstyles, and I don’t want this project to be about my hair. With my makeup, I was doing a lot of liquid liner before. Now I’m into a gold smoky eye and natural-tone lip.”

Eight-year-old InStyle unveils its repair in its November issue, out today with Nicole Kidman on the cover.

The November issue of InStyle has 290 pages and represents the ‘in full bloom’ issue for new editor Kerrie McCallum, formerly of Shop Til You Drop (ACP).

The magazine has been renewed to McCallum’s taste (like Nicole Kidman’s face). Which is timely, given the expected launch of News Magazines’ Glamour in January 2009 and stablemate Marie Claire‘s recent redconstructed and downsizing/compacting.

When InStyle came out no one (else) was doing six pages of red carpet looks,” McCallum says. “But over time people take bits of a successful formula and apply it. Now everyone does them.

InStyle will always use celebrities as inspiration. But they have broadened their idea of what a celebrity is. InStyle now recognises that taste-makers have become celebrities in their own right. That might be a talented chef or a jewellery maker. It isn’t just people you see on the red carpet.”

Pacific Magazines’ InStyle is the latest women’s glossy to be revamped as new mags put pressure on old models to shape up.

The key change is a lesser focus on red carpet looks, in accordance with a directive to all international editions of InStyle issued from New York by licence-holder Time Inc.

Almost every page has been redesigned, McCallum says. Sections have been reorganised under three main headings: “The Look”, “Your Look” and “Shop It”. The beauty section has been expanded and now includes a  page dedicated to perfume.

InStyle magazine had a debut circulation examine of 70,000 copies in June 2000, but never regained those heights.

In the 2008 to June, sales declined 5 per cent to 61,477 and readership was 12.5 per cent lower at 240,000.
