As was promised a couple of days ago, more Spring/Summer trends are going to be revealed. If you have not checked the previous post, you better do so before you continue with this one. For what I am going to offer within the next ten minutes will occupy both your mind and soul, giving no way to other thoughts. When it comes to following the fashion trends, one of the most important things is to opt for the right colors. Not only for those which are in vogue, but also for the shades that stress your natural beauty. Read on to find out more about the best color choices for the warm season and see what fits you the most.
Hottest Color Trends of Spring/Summer 2014 Season
White is still in vogue. This color is considered to represent innocence and purity, however, some of the outfits are way far from these notions. Yet, I am very much impressed with the clothing pieces presented at the Spring/Summer 2014 shows. Cushnie Et Ochs, DKNY, Lyn Devon, Mulberry, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Versace, Victoria Beckham, Burberry Prorsum and Nina Ricci all praised this delicate and elegant color. No wonder, it looks refreshing and saucy, no matter what it is that you wear.
To counter the purity of white, Emilio Pucci, Lanvin, Gucci, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Versace offered another extreme of the color spectrum. No it is not black – why would someone be so awfully boring? It is actually some kind of a tribute to the 80s era and its fascinating style. Disco color palette is what you are invited to check out this spring. If you are a fan of bright and catchy outfits, this is your goldfish.
Shades of olive to remind you of the alluring lands at the Mediterranean Sea filled up the collections of Lyn Devon, Burberry Prorsum, Guy Laroche, Calvin Klein and 3.1 Phillip Lim with a touch of Greek gardens and Roman wreaths. This is my favorite color trend so far, as it seems to be bright and moderate at the same time. After a whole season of neon hues, it will be super nice to enjoy the calmness of this greenish-yellow shade.
Carrot red is going to be incredibly popular this spring and summer. You can wear this color as a monochrome look or else complement the radiant shade with dimmer clothing pieces. In such an outfit there is no way you will ever stay unnoticed. So if you are planning to spy on your boyfriend, you better consider a better camouflage. However, Mulberry, Dsquared2, DKNY, Fendi and Zac Posen are all on the colorful side!
Gold is a royal color. I doubt that there is any need to elaborate on it. Dolce & Gabbana, Valentin Yudashkin and Lanvin would definitely agree with me, if any of the designers read this post. But the fashion kings are busy creating new collections to amaze us during the next seasons. As for now, we have a chance to drool over fabulous pieces, designed either completely or partly in gold color.
Color-blocking has not faded away a single bit. Designers like Victoria Beckham, Fendi and DKNY still worship this technique and we are obediently following them. Fendi went for different shades of one color, whereas DKNY combined various hues. As for Victoria Beckham, the classic white is offset by burgundy, lust red and fuchsia.
Those of you who adore sour taste and yellow color, cheer up! Shades of lemon were also presented during Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion weeks. Moschino Cheap & Chic, DKNY, Nina Ricci, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Burberry Prorsum showcased adorable pieces in this saucy color. My favorite one is by DKNY – the pant suit looks very elegant itself, but the creative color makes it even more desirable.
