You might not worry about what to wear in spring right now, but we all know how fast time passes. Seems like it was just yesterday when we enjoyed the long sunny days at the beach and look at us now. Packed in coats, scarfs and boots we try to spent as little time outside as possible. It is almost November, and then we will be super busy packing the Christmas gifts and planning for the holidays. For me, winter always passes by very quickly, and this time it will be the same. So, spring is really not that far away. Which means, we need to start thinking about our wardrobe. And this is where you will need my hand. Check out the hottest Spring/Summer 2014 trends to stay in vogue.

Fashion Trends of Spring/Summer 2014

One of the hottest trends this spring offers is fringe. No, it doesn’t mean that you are supposed to dress up like hippie or give tribute to the country style. Fringe can work as an embellishment detail of your outfit. Spring/Summer 2014 fashion shows have proved that the rightest thing to do is to get a frock with fringe accents. Lanvin offers a magenta dress fringed all the way from top to bottom. Herve Leger was more moderate and just styled the multicolored blocks with hanging stripes of fabric. Jean Paul Gaultier made his grunge piece even more desirable trimming the edge of both the hemline and bodice. You will also spot the trendy tassels in the collections of Bottega Veneta, Blumarine, Calvin Klein, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Moschino Cheap & Chic.

Nina Ricci, Dolce & Gabbana and Herve Leger

Another hottie of the warm season is rich embellishment. Rhinestones of different colors and types were showcased at the shows. Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Herve Leger, Nina Ricci and many others presented magnificent pieces of clothing adorned wth the sparkling gemstones. Some of the dresses feature fabric completely covered with jewels, whereas the others shine less.

An outfit with a sporty touch is what you definitely want to have. A modern lady is no longer considered to be a housewife. We study hard, build our careers and compete with the men on the equal basis. Which means we need to be strong enough. There is nothing better to keep you in shape than a habbit to jog in the mornings or attend the gym. DKNY, Jean Paul Gaultier and Kenzo obviously support me here, as the brands offer incredibly stylish clothing pieces for sporty ladies.

Zimmermann, Giambattista Valli and Jean Paul Gaultier

Asymmetry that appeared in our lives a couple of seasons ago is in vogue again. You will be fascinated by the gorgeous silhouettes and awesome fits represented by Giambattista Valli, Bottega Veneta, Jean Paul Gaultier and Zimmermann. It is mostly about dresses here, but you can go creative and sport a shirt featuring uneven cut. Whatever you opt for, such an outfit will stress your individuality and fashion sense.

Flare pants are officialy on trend this spring and summer. And I am grateful for this a lot, because there is nothing else that can save your legs from boiling on a hot summer day. There is a huge difference between skinny leggins and flare pants, for the latter lets your precious skin breathe. Plus, such trousers are perfect to match the tops and shirts with. Designers like Emporio Armani, Zimmermann and Olympia Le-Tan released the saucy piece in different color combinations and styles.

Isabel Marant, Nina Ricci and Bottega Veneta

Those of you who adore romantic style will love the trend I am about to offer. Ruffles seems to become very popular soon. I, personally, have never considered myself to be a big fan of the girly fit, but the dresses of Isabel Marant, Nina Ricci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Bottega Veneta and other designers changed my mind. Regardless of which part of the clothing piece features rouches, all the outfits look adorable. There is some kind of a flashback to the Medieval times, when ladies donned exquisite gowns and attended various balls.

DKNY and Rag & Bone

If you prefer casual style and like to walk a lot, then you have to buy a pair of saucy overalls, which will be also on trend. DKNY goes for the denim pieces and styles it with a white collared shirt, classic navy blazer, black belt and a pair of elegant ankle straps in cream. I would call this look smart casual, as it might fit the dresscode of some companies. Rag & Bone opted for a sporty zest, which is also very nice.

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer? After I watched the Black Swan with striking Natalie Portman, I recalled how badly I craved to wear a tutu skirt back at school. Although, my dreams never came true, now I have such an opportunity. Tutu skirt is becoming more and more popular outside the theatre. You can create a very delicate and feminine outfit, as Nina Ricci suggests, or go for a grunge look with a leather vest, black belt and bracelet by Jean Paul Gaultier.
