Peter Paul Rubens served as inspiration for both the collection and the campaign. The Flemish artist is famous for his picturesque and fascinating still life paintings. Apparently, the Louboutin creative director decided to present his own view at the set of beautiful creations and added a touch of fashion to each of the pictures. I like the way these pairs are hanging down from the stem or buried inside the flowers and leaves. From the first sight it is hard to recognize the footwear pieces as the paintings are very rich and dynamic themselves.
Peter Lippmann lensed the campaign for Christian Louboutin. What’s so unique about this campaign is that there are no models featuring in it. You won’t spot a single human face while staring at the photos of the brand. And this is something that draws our attention as well. Whereas the labels usually fight for the most prominent models to star in the photoshoots, Christian Louboutin decided to skip that step and instead focus the items in a more positive way.
