Karlie Kloss and Rita Ora for DKNY Spring/Summer 2014
It wasn’t so hard to guess who it was, huh? From the clues I shared with you it was pretty easy to draw a conclusion. Yes, it is gorgeous Rita Ora, the current face of DKNY, who added the final tune to the show.
Seems like this season designers opt for multiple styles rather than a single one. If you ask me how I would describe DKNY Spring/Summer 2014 collection, I would probably struggle with the answer for a while. There is a very significant reason for that – you will spot items that can be referred to sporty, casual and even classy style. You might question the very possibility of such a combination, but nevertheless this is what DKNY show was about.
Parkas, bodysuits and baggy pants along with floor-length dresses and quite elegant pant suits surely brightened the catwalk. I adore the colors: anything from classic black and white to trendy lemon, portland orange and mint. The best thing about these articles of clothing is that you can easily combine them with each other and play with fresh and trendy outfits.
My favorite item of the show is definitely that baggy pant suit in lemon chiffon. Although it is far from the traditional concept of an office pant suit, I still love the design and, of course, the shade. One thing I would change if it was my own outfit is the color monotony. I would definitely add a brighter pair of pumps as well as a different handbag (a clutch maybe).
DKNY also offers some clothing pieces for men. In DKNY’s point of view, the modern man is supposed to be energetic, creative and bold. Otherwise, how would he be able to don a shorts suit in folly over a light pink shirt? And plus he accessorizes his very urban look with a pair of black oxfords and a leather backpack.
Despite the fact that all the models wore a red-orange lipstick, Rita didn’t change her habit and showed up with lust red lips. Well, it undoubtedly looks very appealing, but not when you see it for the hundredth time. In my opinion, Ora could have easily traded her favorite shade for that of DKNY’s stylist.
DKNY Spring/Summer 2014 collection has a wide range of clothing pieces both for men and women. Check out the gallery to see all of the 56 looks and share your favorite one with us!
