Rihanna is on top of the world right now with two April Vogue covers, a few fashion brand deals, 25 million dollar promotion contract with Samsung and a new platinum album. One could say that is more than one person could achieve in a life time but the singer pays the price of a hectic schedule that doesn’t allow her exercise as much as she wants let alone have a relationship. But the star says she hopes it works out if she pursues it.
The singer also talked about her new record, new sound and explained why she bought a share of streaming service Tidal. On the potential rivalry with Beyonce that the Internet is speculating on a pretty much regular basis now she says
They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative. Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”
Her comment of course comes after the fact that a few days after her album Anti was leaked on Tidal, Beyonce released her Formation music video (that was later criticized for plagiarism), which many saw as the latter trying to steal the spotlight.
She also talked about inspiration behind her Puma x Fenty collaboration collection, which unsurprisingly came from nineties music and fashion, Japanese street culture, and the desire of a young star to take after her brothers in terms of fashion and activities alike, which explains the unisex look presented in the collection.
